In western tradition, the reishi mushroom has multiple anti-viral and anti-tumor properties. In TCM, the reishi is used as a tonic herb for calming the spirit as it works to cool the heart fire. Actually, Reishi has many applications, as it is one of the primary tonic herbs in Chinese medicine. For the purpose of calming the human spirit, Reishi may be the medicinal of choice.
